Founder and CEO of The Edify Project

Dr. Viveka KALIDASAN has been recognised as MIT 35 Innovator under 35 and also one of the top 100 Women in Technology in Singapore. She is a tech agnost, who believes that impactful technologies empower lives.

Dr. Viveka is the Founder and CEO of The Edify Project, a one-stop venture building partner that serves startups, academia, corporates and individuals alike. Her flagship ‘The Industry 5.0 Women’, venture building programme is a first of its kind programme that is committed to bring more women in the industry 5.0 space and help them spearhead ventures. Edify also engages in multi-pronged mentorship and brand building, global expansion activities.
In her capacity as the Director of Venture Building and Business Development (APAC) with Vertical Velocity Ventures, she helps ventures (SMEs and startups) and corporates, scale into SG & APAC. This includes business analysis of existing ecosystem, identifying new market opportunities and increasing the visibility of the ventures.
She has built from scratch, the innovation lab of Ultra Clean Holdings Inc., (UCT) in Singapore, called Let-Lab. Through her pregnancy and maternity, in less than a year ,she created Singapore’s industry 4.0 ecosystem, while empowering startups in the space, that solve unmet needs in semiconductor industry 4.0 space.
As an Innovator and Technopreneur,she has developed and commercialised patient-centric deeptech medical devices with spotlight on FemTech solutions, with a holistic focus on the R&D, clinical & regulatory pathways and commercialization of medtech.


Her translational research work on wireless sensing (WiSe) sutures is published in the prestigious Nature Biomedical Engineering (https://lnkd.in/g3PBGgfw ) and made it to the cover of October 2021 issue and was spotlighted in nature news and views.
She believes in empowerment through education and mentorship. She is a mentor to startups, venture creation programmes and aspiring talents. 
On a lighter side, she is a fitness freak, a globetrotter, a bookworm and a light political observer.
